About WWEBCON

WWEBCON is the trading identity of WEBCON PTY LTD, incorporated in Botswana.

WWEBCON acts as an administrator and intermediary in relation to international private medical insurance, employee benefit arrangements and related insurance services.

WWEBCON is not an insurer or underwriter. Insurance cover is provided by the insurer or underwriter identified in the applicable quotation, policy or membership documentation.

Website information

Information published on wwebcon.com is intended to explain the services WWEBCON administers or arranges and to help visitors understand the principal features and considerations relevant to those services.

General website content cannot take account of every person's circumstances and should not be treated as a substitute for the terms of a formal quotation, policy, certificate of insurance or other documentation issued in relation to specific cover.

Where WWEBCON provides a recommendation or guidance after considering information supplied by a prospective or existing client, that communication should be considered in its own context. The fact that general website information is not individually tailored does not mean that every subsequent communication from WWEBCON is merely general information.

Illustrations and quotations

An Illustration and a Quotation are different.

An Illustration is an indicative estimate produced from the limited information entered through the website. It is intended to show the approximate cost and structure of cover that may be available.

An Illustration is not a final premium, a Quotation, an offer of insurance, confirmation of acceptance or evidence that cover is in force.

A Quotation is prepared after the information required for that stage has been confirmed. It remains subject to the applicable insurer or underwriter's requirements, terms and acceptance.

Underwriting and acceptance

The insurer or underwriter determines whether an application for insurance is accepted and on what terms.

Depending on the product and circumstances, this may include consideration of medical information, previous insurance history, country of residence, Area of Cover (AOC), age, occupation, intended use of the cover and other information required by the insurer or underwriter.

WWEBCON may assist with the application and administration process, obtain information, explain requirements and communicate with the relevant parties. WWEBCON does not replace the insurer or underwriter as the party responsible for the underwriting decision.

No insurance cover exists merely because information has been entered on the website, an Illustration has been produced, an enquiry has been submitted or an application has been completed.

Cover should be regarded as in force only once the applicable acceptance, commencement and payment requirements have been satisfied and the position has been confirmed through the appropriate insurance documentation.

Policy terms

Benefits, limits, exclusions, deductibles, Area of Cover, eligibility requirements, pre-authorisation requirements and other conditions differ between products and underwriters.

Website summaries are intended to make those features easier to understand. They do not amend the underlying insurance contract.

Where there is a material difference between a website summary or administrative display and the formal policy documentation applicable to the insurance, the formal insurance documentation governs the insurance benefit, subject to any rights the client may have under applicable law.

Premiums

Premium figures may depend on factors including age, country of residence, Area of Cover, plan level, deductible, optional benefits and payment frequency.

Rates and product terms may change.

An amount displayed through the website is not guaranteed until the applicable formal quotation or renewal terms have been confirmed.

Renewals

Renewal terms are determined in accordance with the applicable product and underwriter's terms at the relevant renewal.

Information shown through the WWEBCON client portal may assist a client in reviewing available options and submitting an instruction or request.

A request for a different plan, deductible, Area of Cover, billing frequency or other change does not itself amend the insurance contract. Where acceptance or confirmation is required, the change takes effect only once the applicable process has been completed.

Claims

WWEBCON may assist clients with claims administration, including checking documentation, facilitating communication and helping to progress an administrative process.

The decision whether a claim is covered, approved, partially approved or declined rests with the insurer, underwriter or authorised claims decision-maker responsible for the policy.

The website itself recognises this division of responsibility: for routine claims WWEBCON may pre-check a submission, while emergency assistance and evacuation are coordinated through the relevant assistance arrangements.

Nothing displayed in the WWEBCON portal should be interpreted as a claims decision unless it records an outcome actually communicated by the authorised decision-maker.

Emergency medical assistance

The website and membership card may display emergency-assistance information applicable to a client's cover.

In a medical emergency, the emergency procedure applicable to the policy should be followed. Where a 24-hour assistance service is identified on the membership card or policy documentation, that service should be contacted where the circumstances require it.

WWEBCON's administrative involvement does not replace emergency medical services, a treating healthcare professional or an insurer's emergency-assistance provider.

Medical information

Information concerning symptoms, diagnoses, treatment or other medical matters may be collected where required for insurance administration, underwriting, claims or emergency-information purposes.

WWEBCON does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment through the website.

Any medical information or explanation provided by WWEBCON in connection with an insurance matter is administrative or insurance-related and does not replace advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.

Client information and disclosure

Insurance applications and claims depend upon accurate and complete information.

A prospective or existing client is responsible for checking information submitted in their name and for answering questions asked by an insurer or underwriter accurately and completely.

Where circumstances or information change, the client should notify WWEBCON or the relevant insurer or underwriter where the applicable insurance terms require it.

WWEBCON may draw a previous disclosure or record to a client's attention, but a historical record should not be assumed to remain complete or current for a later application.

Product availability

Not every product, benefit, Area of Cover or insurer is available to every person or in every country.

Availability may depend on residence, nationality where relevant to the applicable product, age, underwriting requirements, regulatory restrictions, insurer rules and other eligibility criteria.

The presence of information about a product or type of cover on wwebcon.com does not establish that it is available to a particular person.

Third-party documents and services

WWEBCON may provide or display information originating from insurers, underwriters, claims administrators, assistance providers or other parties involved in providing or administering insurance.

Those parties remain responsible for their own contractual terms, decisions and services.

Where WWEBCON reproduces an insurer or underwriter form, declaration or policy wording, the underlying wording remains that party's wording and should not be treated as wording created by WWEBCON.

Website accuracy

WWEBCON takes reasonable care in maintaining the information presented through the website and client portal.

Insurance products, rates and terms can change, and administrative information may occasionally be awaiting confirmation or reconciliation.

If information displayed on the website appears inconsistent with a formal quotation, policy document, invoice, renewal communication or other insurance record, the matter should be raised with WWEBCON for review rather than assuming that the website display has changed the underlying insurance position.

No creation of cover by error

An obvious technical, typographical, calculation, data-entry or display error does not by itself create insurance cover, increase a benefit, alter a premium or amend an insurance contract.

Where an error is identified, WWEBCON may correct the administrative record and confirm the applicable position.

This does not limit any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Liability

Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or restricts liability, duties or rights where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.

Subject to that principle, WWEBCON is not responsible for an underwriting, claims, medical or assistance decision made independently by an insurer, underwriter, healthcare provider, assistance provider or other authorised third party.

WWEBCON remains responsible for its own acts and omissions to the extent provided by applicable law.

Relationship with other documents

This Disclaimer should be read together with the:

For an insured client, the applicable quotation, policy wording, certificate, membership documentation and formal communications concerning the insurance remain the primary documents governing the insurance itself.

Governing position

WEBCON PTY LTD is incorporated in Botswana.

The legal and regulatory requirements applicable to a particular service or client may also depend on the nature of the service, the insurance arrangement, the countries involved and other relevant circumstances.

Nothing on the website should be read as a representation that WEBCON PTY LTD holds a particular regulatory authorisation, licence or status in a jurisdiction unless that status is expressly stated and applicable to the service concerned.
